Cabot 72023

Yes that is correct, I live in big town of Cabot, 72023. Where I am married to a football coach. If you are from around this area, then I need to give no explanation. But, for those of you who don't here it is. Football is HUGE in Cabot, which means during football season I rarely see my husband. He possibly has games to go to on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! So you get the idea of which days are left! Not to mention along with coaching he is also a teacher, science, which means grading, entering grades, planning, etc. Oh yea, I am also a teacher, which means I am doing the same things (except the coaching football part).

This is my first year teaching and my husbands first year teaching in Cabot. He worked at Beebe last year, and as soon as they hired me, he took the job at Cabot.... What love!! Things are going good so far, but for those non-teachers out there.... WOW is all I have to say. I did enter teaching from the business world, and wow the difference there is. School can only prepare you so much. So thank goodness for the friends in my life, especially those that are teachers. It is a HUGE blessing to be able to talk to others in your situation and feed of others ideas. It is especially nice to hear from those who are not teaching, and for me to think back to when I was not a teacher (it was not that long ago!).

I am a very organized person which is really being tested this year. I didn't realize how much stuff you have to keep track of. Everyone's homework, attendance, pestering those who don't turn in their homework, professional development, inventory of EVERYTHING in my classroom (including pens, markers, etc). In short LOTS! As much as I disliked the homecoming schedule, it did give me time on Friday to get my desk in order! Lets see how long it lasts?
